Remedies: The reason all of this matters
In the absence of remedial measures, the elaborate framework of Jyotisha, with its fastidious diagnostic capabilities, would be rendered nugatory, akin to a labyrinthine puzzle devoid of a solution.
Consequently, the implementation of remedies assumes paramount importance within the paradigm of Jyotish, serving as the crucial linchpin in endeavors to mitigate the karmic burden and extricate oneself from the cyclical patterns of suffering that have precipitated our afflictions. By virtue of its emphasis on remediation, Jyotish transcends mere diagnostic acuity, ascending to a holistic system of self-liberation and transcendence
Whatever deeds and actions an aspirant or seeker does or undertakes to do to achieve his goal are successful through the medium of a Mantra. The Mantra is a medium by which desired results are easily and comfortably attained; they are aids to one’s
fulfillment of desires and objectives in life—whether mundane or spiritual. A Mantra makes the attainment of the desired goal a certainty.
-Ram Purva Tapini Upanishad, Canto 1, verse 12
Mantra works on the subtle aspects of the mind and invites changes by clearing the blockages from the source level. Mantra is inviting a facet of the divine consciousness of a flavor you’d like more in your life. However, the deity is not different from you. E.g. ‘Lakshmī’, commonly seen as the goddess of prosperity, exists within you as your capacity to produce abundance, prosperity, and beauty.
Invoking her is invoking that divine capacity- which is subject to manifestation according to our karma. Mantras are a way to mitigate the karma by inviting the grace of the deity. The rigidity of the karma will show how long it will take to see changes.
In doing a mantra, the karma (e.g. if someone hurt their spouse in an incarnation, they are likely to lack a relationship in this life, or suffer relationship problems) that created that block in us, we attack that tendency of ours that made us act in a fashion that we hurt a certain signification of our life. Therefore, a mantra can mitigate karma because it changes what made that karma happen from you.
If required, based on your blockages, the consultation will have a way to carry out a mantra practice.
Note: Planets have an archetypal understanding that makes our options of deities secular. If you are from a non-Hindu faith, it won’t bereft you from having the benefits of a deity practice. Eg. If you are a Muslim, I’ll use the 99 names of Allah to support your transformation; If sikh, the 10 gurus will come into our use; If Christian, we’ll work with angels, Mary, and such
If you are an atheist, we will work with some seed syllables that won’t trigger your resistance towards working with something you don’t have empirical evidence of.
